Lauri Mireau (Acrylic and Watercolour)

Laurie (Publicover) Mireau returned to live in the village of Hubbards in 2015.  Since taking early retirement from teaching 1994 (in Halifax, Charlottetown and Edmonton), she moved back to Halifax, Nova Scotia has been painting full-time for over 21 years. Laurie paints colorful, realistic images in watercolor, acrylics and oils and teaches painting and drawing classes in her Hubbards studio. Some of her favorite themes are coastal scenes, fishing boats, street scenes. Many of her watercolor originals have been reproduced as prints (matted and framed) and as greeting cards.  These make affordable gifts for weddings, anniversaries and other special occasions.    She paints larger sizes when working in oils and acrylics and has done larger-scale (inside or outside) wall murals . She enjoys giving workshops and welcomes commissions.
