Maria Kuttner (Acrylic)
Maria’s fresh and spirited paintings have been accepted in a number of juried shows and won prizes four years in a row at the Contemporary Art Society annual members’ show at the Public Archives of Nova Scotia.
Using loose, bold brushstrokes and bright colours Maria paints primarily in acrylic depicting Nova Scotia lifestyles by incorporating how we live, work and play into local landscapes. Her landscapes are inspired by the scenic ocean environment of St. Margaret’s Bay. She often includes figures to add energy and motion to her paintings.
Maria exhibits her art in community shows as well as several commercial galleries. Her home Studio in Boutilier’s Point, NS is open by appointment.
